Dress up your kids in stylish couture

The Star Malaysia - Star2 - - HOLIDAY TREATS -

HIGH fashion for juniors is unmistakably an avenue of the current fashion scene. This is due to the fact that parents tend to dress their children like themselves and will seek to incorporate brands that fit with the family’s lifestyle.

Often, the easiest choice for parents is to buy brands that they already know and love themselves. For instance, Paul Smith, Marc Jacobs, Moschino, Versace and more popular labels have dabbled into this market segment.

Ubrani Ventures Sdn Bhd is working towards bringing the forefront junior labels into Malaysia.

Young Versace

At the beginning of her career, Donatella Versace started to work on the idea of the magical universe of children’s fantasy – a Young Versace wardrobe. In June 2011, Young Versace, the luxurious line for kids from 0 to 12 years old was launched. It combines sophistication and glamour in a game of mixand-match, with prints and iconic motifs of the masons featured in the unmistakable style of Versace.

Hugo Boss

Formal and casual attitudes merge to create the ideal style of the times to set the tone for the new children’s collection from Boss.

The Premium theme gives the kids a VIP backstage glimpse of a Berlin fashion show, while the Lifestyle theme resonates with the creative pulse of this vibrant city. Motor and nautical sports have been the main source of inspiration for the sports theme infused with energetic graphics and vibrant colours.

Paul Smith Jr

The year 2010 was the launch of the Paul Smith Junior collection. Staying true to his vision, a bright, punchy colour palette and familiar silhouettes inspired from the men’s and women’s catwalk collections have been redesigned for Paul Smith Junior, bringing a playful, child-like charm to this line.

Junior Gaultier

This French brand has remained faithful to its style and placed its mark on its junior collection as well – a graphic collection with clean colours. The structured jackets for boys are perfectly cut and proportioned. The girls’ line is made of full volume skirts and bling pure Gaultier mode.

Little Marc Jacobs

The nutty world of this American designer is as delightful as ever. Its collection is warm, poetic and coherent. Modern and discreet, it is a fun collection for both boys and girls.

Ferrari Junior

The Prestige, the Legend and the Passion of over 60 years of success are told in the Ferrari Junior Collection. Sober yet refined, the style of the prancing horse depicts the iconographic collection as even the young ones associate themselves with the joy of speed.

Moschino

The Moschino Boys and Girls collections are made of three age groups: Moschino Teen from six to 14 years old ; Moschino Kid from 12-18 months to six years old; Moschino Baby from one to three months to two years old.

Moschino Kids apparels was introduced in Kuala Lumpur in Fall-Winter 2010 by Ubrani Group and has received overwhelming response.

French Connection

There has never been a greater demand for British fashion and French Connection is right at the forefront. Founded in 1972 by Stephen Marks, it now offers a fashion-forward clothing range with a quirky spin on design, priding itself on quality and affordable prices.

Having established a strong core clothing business, through unique design and a true sense of style, the company has over recent years expanded its portfolio into exciting new areas – now including kidswear. FC Kids would be ideal for this market segment, as the market trend has moved towards high street labels.

Therefore, Ubrani Ventures, holding the retail rights to FC Kids for South-East Asia has plans in collaboration with Parkson to expand into the Asian market, predominantly Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Jakarta and Ho Chi Minh, starting off in Parkson KLCC and Parkson Pavilion.

For details, look out for the advertisement in this StarSpecial.

Let your kids strut in style with chic and high-quality designer wear.
