GROWING populations, less space and busy lifestyles. Learning to save space and time are key to compact living. It’s not just about how you furnish your home, keeping a small space clean and tidy can help to create a more welcoming environment.

Dyson’s founder and inventor of the bagless vacuum cleaners and bladeless fans James Dyson says, “People’s expectation of technology has changed. Home appliances are not simply providing convenience. They need to be powerful and compact.”

In order to create a cleaning appliance that is suitable for small spaces, British technology company Dyson spends £1.5mil (RM7.5mil) every week on research and development so that 1,500 Dyson engineers develop the best machines possible.

As a result, Dyson has created the Dyson Digital Slim cordless vacuum machine powered by the smallest digital motor. The slender machine body allows it to be attached to the wall or be stored in the cupboard, without taking up any space – perfect for quick clean ups.

The conventional cordless vacuum cleaner places the heavy motor and battery at the base of the machine, restricting it to floor cleaning. But in a confined space, the manoeuvrability to clean every corner in the house is the key.

The Dyson digital motor is engineered to be small and powerful. Using digital pulse technology, it spins at up to 104,000 rpm – five times faster than an F1 race car engine. With the total weight of the motor and the machine at just 2.3kg, this is the smallest innovation yet. ‘Home appliances need to be powerful and compact,’ says dyson’s founder and inventor of the bagless vacuum cleaners and bladeless fans, James dyson.

DC44’s ergonomic design assembles all the components in the handle and you control it easily with one hand. Whether it is cobwebs on the ceiling, air-conditioning vents, crumbs on the sofa, or dirt on the floor, you can make them all go away.

Integrating multiple functions

When time and space are so precious, household appliances need to be multi-functional. The DC44 is no exception. Its detachable wand and multi-functional cleaner head easily cleans the sofa, curtains and all the awkward corners that are hard to reach. It is a lightweight cordless machine that helps you solve all your cleaning problems.

Compact should not mean a compromise. The DC44 uses patented Root Cyclone technology just like the full-sized vacuum cleaners. Dyson’s cyclone technology does not rely on bags or filters to separate fine dust. Instead, it uses strong centrifugal forces to spin dust and dirt out of the air. No bag, no loss of suction.
