A decade accomplished, a decade forth
ESTABLISHED as an institute for tertiary education on Jan 1, 2002, Sentral College Penang became the new educational beacon in the heart of George Town upon gaining approval and recognition from the Malaysian Ministry of Education on July 25 the same year.
The Ministry of Education upgraded the status of Sentral to that of a ‘college’ in 2006.
At Sentral, students are not only groomed to excel academically in their chosen fields, but also to develop a creative and innovative state of mind.
After over a decade, the college will soon move to a spanking new campus at Menara Sentral located at 3, Lebuh Penang. With the change of address, the new environment will definitely be a breath of fresh air for everyone concerned.
Menara Sentral is a 14-storey building with five car park levels. Here, students can enjoy high-speed Wifi access while overlooking the quaint heritage city and picturesque seaview of the Penang Port.
Spacious lecture rooms that are fully furnished with top notch teaching and learning equipment and theatre rooms with LCD projectors occupy Levels 9 and 10.
Level 7 houses five computer labs with dedicated high-speed Internet access and computers that are individually installed with the latest Microsoft 8.1 software.
Counselling and enquiries services at Level 6 are available seven days a week.
Those interested should contact 042621888 or log on to www.sentral.edu. my. Students are also welcomed to visit the Sentral Open Day tomorrow and Sunday.
The new auditorium is equipped with a state-of-the-art sound system.
