Rain set to shine in KL
HEADS up, K-pop fans! South Korean singer, dancer and actor Rain will be in Kuala Lumpur on March 29. Rain will be part of the Twin Towers @Live! lineup where several other yet-to-confirmed music acts will perform a free concert at Plaza Petronas, KLCC. This will be Rain’s first performance here since 2011.
The 31-year-old entertainer recently completed a two-year compulsory stint in military service. Rain (real name: Jung Ji-Hoon) made his debut in 2002 with the album Bad Guy. He cemented his popularity as one of South Korea’s hottest exports with the release of his third album It’s Raining, which sold over a million copies in Asia.
His acting career also took off with a memorable role on the television series Full House. In 2006, Time magazine included him in its list of “100 Most Influential People Who Shaped Our World”. Rain released his latest album Rain Effect earlier this year and it made its debut at #1 on the South Korean music charts. For his upcoming performance in KL, fans can look forward to performances of his new singles 30 Sexy and La Song as well as other hits.
Twin Towers @Live! 2014 is a free concert and open to all members of the public. The two-day event will be held on March 28 and 29 at Plaza Petronas, KLCC in Kuala Lumpur. Check out www. facebook.com/TwinTowersAlive for more information.
