The Gorgon

The Star Malaysia - Star2 - - TV HIGHLIGHTS -

(Cinemax, astro Ch 412, 5pm) This should be the atmospheric, eerie 1964 Hammer Films production starring Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing (hello, Count dooku and Governor Tarkin) as professors investigating a strange case in the German village of Vandorf in 1910. Seven people have been murdered, petrified into stone figures, over the past five years. The authorities have dismissed the mysterious circumstances and made the grief-stricken lover of the latest victim a scapegoat for the “crimes”. Could a local legend be true, though? That one of the snake-haired Gorgon sisters still lives, and is preying on the villagers? also starring barbara Shelley and Patrick Troughton.
