Striving for excellence in education

The Star Malaysia - Star2 - - STAR SPECIAL -

FOR over 35 years, SEGi University Group (SEGi) has equipped graduates from diverse backgrounds with exceptional education for career achievement and personal success.

Since its operation as Systematic College in 1977, the group has experienced significant growth by adapting and catering to an increasing demand for academic qualifications in Malaysia.

Today, it has five major campuses located in Kota Damansara, Subang Jaya, Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Sarawak.

SEGi was recognised as a leader in the higher private education sector by the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education for winning several accolades in the 2013 Malaysia Quality Evaluation System (MyQuest) ratings.

Carried out every two years, MyQuest rates private colleges and universities from one (poor) to six (excellent) stars.

All five SEGi campuses were awarded up to six stars in various categories, making SEGi one of the few higher private education groups to earn the most accolades in one of the most recognised evaluations by the Ministry.

SEGi is constantly on a quest to maximise its students’ natural talents and potential with quality education.

This will lead to SEGi graduates to be key industry leaders and will contribute to nation building.

To motivate students to do their very best, SEGi has a series of motivational talks inspired by the world-renowned TEDTalks.

Called Segian Talks, it gathers the best minds in various industries to share ideas to improve and impact lives.

Some of the speakers who have shared their thoughts include prominent TV personality Hansen Lee, Asian Finance Bank Berhad chief executive officer Datuk Mohamed Azahari Mohamed Kamil and Nicholas Bloy who is the managing partner and co-founder of Navis Capital Partners, one of Asia’s largest private equity groups.

Now, the opportunity for potential studies and a brighter future with a recognised qualification is achievable, thanks to SEGi’s Promising Minds Fund.

SEGi provides up to RM5,000 rebate to pursue programmes at any of its five campuses.

For more details on the rebate and programmes offered, call SEGi University (03-6145 1777 or 1800 887 344), SEGi College Subang Jaya (03-8600 1888 or 1800 888 622), SEGi College Kuala Lumpur (032070 2078 or 1800 888 028), SEGi College Penang (04-263 3888), SEGi College Sarawak (082-252 566).
