BERJAYA University College of Hospitality’s (Berjaya UCH) homegrown postgraduate programme – Masters of Business Administration (MBA) – was created specially for students wishing to obtain a postgraduate qualification in the field of Business and Management.

This is in line with its commitment to continuously provide relevant innovative courses and promote life-long learning.

The main thrust of the MBA programme is to provide students with solid knowledge in business, coupled with the necessary technical skills to succeed in various areas of business.

It comprises modules in International Business, International Hospitality Management and International Tourism.

This MBA programme encompasses areas such as leadership, human resource management, information technology, finance, economics, marketing and business ethics.

Berjaya UCH’s programme is backed by the Berjaya Group of companies – one of Malaysia’s largest and most diversified conglomerates.

The company’s executives form part of the pool of resource talent that gives this programme a unique edge over other postgraduate courses.

The programme is designed not only for new graduates but also for working adults who wish to enhance their career opportunities, yet do not have the time to obtain a postgraduate degree.

Berjaya UCH was established as a niche education institution of higher learning, dedicated to specialising and championing the growth and development of the hospitality, tourism and services industries.

Programmes from foundation to postgradu- ate levels are offered under six schools – School of Culinary Arts, School of Hospitality, School of Tourism, School of Business, School of Liberal Arts and School of Sports, Leisure and Lifestyle.

The campus is located at the central business district in Kuala Lumpur, one of the most bustling cities in the world, which places students at the heart of business activities and opportunities.

The university college implements a unique teaching approach called the Berjaya Immersion Methodology in an integrated classroom-community space for students to learn and apply their knowledge and skills in real-life situations.

A significant part of this approach depends greatly on the innovative academic curriculum, delivered both inside and outside of the classrooms, which are both academic and career-focused, and is based on the “Learning by Doing” principle.

This approach teaches the students to think critically, communicate effectively, work productively and manage professionally.

The Berjaya MBA programme has three intakes each year in January, April and August.

Classes are conducted during weekends and in evenings after office hours till 9.30pm.

The duration of the programme is one year full-time and two years part-time. A recognised bachelor’s degree, preferably with a two-year work experience and proof of English language proficiency, are required to enter the programme.

Candidates without a bachelor’s degree but with significant work experience may also be considered for admission.

Registration for the April intake is now open and Berjaya UCH is offering bursary grants worth RM1mil to the first 100 successful applicants.
