FROM primary school right through to university, language plays a dominant role and it serves as a bridge to connect people and knowledge so that they can learn and understand things easily.
At the professional level, you need to be familiar with English proficiency courses and the key features of what each of these programmes has to offer.
If you are seeking to improve your proficiency to handle tertiary-level studies, the SemiIntensive English Programme (SIEP) at ELS is ideal for you.
Different universities stipulate different English proficiency requirements and test scores for admission. These tests not only assess the English proficiency level of the students but they also serve to show how versatile a student is in using different language skills.
The SIEP is ideal for those who have a tight schedule and wish to achieve their goals within a stringent time frame.
The programme is particularly effective for students who wish to polish specific academic skills to realise their professional goals. Students can choose to enrol in the SSP (Structure and Structured Speaking) and Vocabulary Enrichment classes to improve their listening, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and speaking skills or opt for Reading/Writing and Vocabulary Enrichment if their focus is more towards achieving academic proficiency.
Classes are scheduled for three hours a day, five days a week.
The SIEP helps improve your writing skills and makes you more assertive in expressing your thoughts and ideas. This extra confidence will help make your final presentations a breeze.
ELS also offers a counselling system for oversees students. You can obtain important information on the courses, registration dates for upcoming courses and online help via a free chat system.
Alternatively, you can e-mail regarding any questions or concerns you might have. Be a part of the SIEP and learn all the skills you need to speak and write fluently and confidently in English.
The SIEP is flexible so you can choose to enrol for the morning classes or the afternoon ones.
