If you are seek­ing to im­prove your pro­fi­ciency to han­dle ter­tiary-level stud­ies, the SemiIn­ten­sive English Pro­gramme (SIEP) at ELS is ideal for you.

Dif­fer­ent uni­ver­si­ties stip­u­late dif­fer­ent English pro­fi­ciency re­quire­ments and test scores for ad­mis­sion. These tests not only as­sess the English pro­fi­ciency level of the stu­dents but they also serve to show how ver­sa­tile a stu­dent is in us­ing dif­fer­ent lan­guage skills.

The SIEP is ideal for those who have a tight sched­ule and wish to achieve their goals within a strin­gent time frame.

The pro­gramme is par­tic­u­larly ef­fec­tive for stu­dents who wish to pol­ish spe­cific aca­demic skills to re­alise their pro­fes­sional goals. Stu­dents can choose to enrol in the SSP (Struc­ture and Struc­tured Speak­ing) and Vo­cab­u­lary En­rich­ment classes to im­prove their lis­ten­ing, gram­mar, vo­cab­u­lary, pro­nun­ci­a­tion and speak­ing skills or opt for Read­ing/Writ­ing and Vo­cab­u­lary En­rich­ment if their fo­cus is more to­wards achiev­ing aca­demic pro­fi­ciency.

Classes are sched­uled for three hours a day, five days a week.

The SIEP helps im­prove your writ­ing skills and makes you more as­sertive in ex­press­ing your thoughts and ideas. This ex­tra con­fi­dence will help make your fi­nal pre­sen­ta­tions a breeze.
