BIRM­ING­HAM City Univer­sity (BCU) is proud of its 150 years of ex­pe­ri­ence in the ed­u­ca­tion in­dus­try. It of­fers more than 350 cour­ses from foun­da­tion, un­der­grad­u­ate, post­grad­u­ate to re­search level to an an­nual en­rol­ment of about 25,000 stu­dents.

BCU stu­dents land great jobs. The Sun­day Times Univer­sity Guide 2012 ranked BCU 29th out of 123 uni­ver­si­ties in Bri­tain for the most stu­dents in grad­u­atelevel roles.

The univer­sity is well known for cre­ative and pro­fes­sional prac­tice and in­dus­try col­lab­o­ra­tions, with more than 50 pro­fes­sional ac­cred­i­ta­tions for the cour­ses.

BCU’s award-win­ning Stu­dent Aca­demic Part­ners scheme teams up staff and stu­dents to find ways to make their teach­ing even bet­ter.

It has been con­stantly in­vest­ing on new stu­dent ac­com­mo­da­tion, sports cen­tre at the City North Cam­pus and con­struc­tion is cur­rently un­der way for the new ex­ten­sion to the City Cen­tre Cam­pus.

BCU has six aca­demic fac­ul­ties that cover the dif­fer­ent dis­ci­plines that the univer­sity spe­cialises in. They are the Birm­ing­ham In­sti­tute of Art and De­sign (BIAD), Birm­ing­ham City Busi­ness School (BCBS), Fac­ulty of Ed­u­ca­tion Law & So­cial Sci­ences (ELSS), Fac­ulty of Health (FOH), Fac­ulty of Per­for­mance, Me­dia & English (PME) and Fac­ulty of Tech­nol­ogy, En­gi­neer­ing & the En­vi­ron­ment (TEE).

BIAD’s in­ter­na­tional ad­viser John Hall will be in Kuala Lumpur for in­ter­views, port­fo­lio re­views and mak­ing of­fers for Vis­ual Com­mu­ni­ca­tion (Graphic Com­mu­ni­ca­tion, Pho­tog­ra­phy, Il­lus­tra­tion, Film and An­i­ma­tion), Fine Art and In­te­rior De­sign pro­grammes.

He will be at the Ed­u­ca­tion UK Ex­hi­bi­tion on March 8 and 9 at Hall 2, KL Con­ven­tional Cen­tre from 1pm to 6pm. On March 11, Hall will be present at the G Ho­tel Ball­room, Pe­nang.
