BIRMINGHAM City University (BCU) is proud of its 150 years of experience in the education industry. It offers more than 350 courses from foundation, undergraduate, postgraduate to research level to an annual enrolment of about 25,000 students.
BCU students land great jobs. The Sunday Times University Guide 2012 ranked BCU 29th out of 123 universities in Britain for the most students in graduatelevel roles.
The university is well known for creative and professional practice and industry collaborations, with more than 50 professional accreditations for the courses.
BCU’s award-winning Student Academic Partners scheme teams up staff and students to find ways to make their teaching even better.
It has been constantly investing on new student accommodation, sports centre at the City North Campus and construction is currently under way for the new extension to the City Centre Campus.
BCU has six academic faculties that cover the different disciplines that the university specialises in. They are the Birmingham Institute of Art and Design (BIAD), Birmingham City Business School (BCBS), Faculty of Education Law & Social Sciences (ELSS), Faculty of Health (FOH), Faculty of Performance, Media & English (PME) and Faculty of Technology, Engineering & the Environment (TEE).
BIAD’s international adviser John Hall will be in Kuala Lumpur for interviews, portfolio reviews and making offers for Visual Communication (Graphic Communication, Photography, Illustration, Film and Animation), Fine Art and Interior Design programmes.
He will be at the Education UK Exhibition on March 8 and 9 at Hall 2, KL Conventional Centre from 1pm to 6pm. On March 11, Hall will be present at the G Hotel Ballroom, Penang.
