OUR business and accounting students will get the advantage that other fresh graduates wish they had. Our graduates emerge in the job market complete with job experience, in addition to a dual-award qualification with Anglia Ruskin University in Britain,” says MAHSA University Faculty of Business and Accounting dean Chung Cheng Hoe.

On the unique “Business Incubator” aspect at the MAHSA, Chung said: “Through the ‘Business Incubator’ programme, our students deal with ‘real experiences’ of running an actual registered business for a minimum period of one year – all on-campus.

“Students are facilitated by various larger businesses to learn how to meet the numerous demands of real-life business situations such as in finance, human resource management, marketing and accounting.

“As in every real business or trade, there will be challenges. Students in this programme will face these practical daily challenges, such as staffing, resource management as well as budgetary concerns, and learn how to manage these situations.

“They also learn more about how different departments work and come together to form a single unit of one company.

“Job opportunities in today’s employment arena offer an unending selection for graduates.

“However, a common plight faced by fresh graduates is that most employers seek working experience, a criteria which fresh graduates find impossible to satisfy,” added the experience business academician.

“Through the ‘ Business Incubator’ programme, as well as all their internship experiences, theoretical knowledge, Continuing Professional Development, events and other student activities on-campus, our graduates are ready to hit the ground running.”

Chung, with almost 15 years of experience in business and academics, also said that students would receive internship opportunities with over 40 different multinational companies through the Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM), of which MAHSA is closely affiliated with.

Post-graduate business students can choose between full-time and part-time programme options.

MAHSA’s Accounting students can also embark on a unique pathway to obtain a globally recognised professional qualification from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).

MAHSA University offers business and accounting options with its Foundation in Business, Diploma in Accounting, Diploma in Business Administration, Bachelor in Accounting, Bachelor in Business Administration, as well as the Masters in Business Administration.
