FOUNDER Wang Kim Lian opened his first noo­dle stall in Dang Wangi, Kuala Lumpur, in 1927. From noo­dle soups, Wang mod­i­fied his dish into the dis­tinc­tive serv­ing of thick yel­low noo­dles braised in thick dark soy, bet­ter known as Hokkien Noo­dles.
