Perodua donates Axias to cops
PERODUA has given four units of the Axia to help the police in crime fighting.
“We hope that our contribution will assist our dedicated police officers in their duties,” said Perodua president and CEO Datuk Aminar Rashid Salleh at a handover ceremony in Bukit Aman police headquarters recently.
The Brickfields and Taman Tun Dr Ismail police stations will each get an Axia, while the other two Axia units will be used by Amanita, a special police taskforce that engages the community, with a focus on housewives.
Since 1995, the police has deployed more than 670 Perodua vehicles.
“The Axia is Malaysia’s first Energy Efficient Vehicle with a low fuel consumption of 21.6km per litre.
“It is an ideal patrol car as it is made for easy driving, handling and manoeuvring in high traffic areas,” said Aminar.
