WITH a name inspired by the stars, the watch has been a symbol of luxury and prestige since 1952. For this new Constellation collection, Omega has retained the classic look of its iconic ancestor but redefined it with a new aesthetic. The Constellation Tahiti’s mother- of- pearl dial with diamond indexes is encircled in a stunning diamond- paved bezel. The polished claws are immediately recognisable, as is the polished crown embossed with the Omega symbol.
This beautiful timepiece is a standout watch, which is offered in a range of six quartz watches and three automatic watches. With its date window now repositioned to 6 o’clock, the 27mm automatic Tahiti is not just easy- to read, but beautiful to look at.
Though this particular watch blends stainless steel with 18K red gold, the series offers a choice of styles – including stainless steel with 18K yellow gold, or stainless steel only, for those who prefer a simpler, more classic look. This choice of materials is extended to the hands as well. Either choose a polished facetted 18K gold or rhodium plated hour- minute hands, or both in the mix. All bracelets correspond accordingly and are held together with butterfly clasps featuring an 18K gold Omega logo.
From the stylish exterior, turn inward to appreciate the “heat” that powers the watch. Therein lies the Omega o- Axial Calibre 8520, an officially certified Chronometer. This beautiful movement powers all three automatic watches in the series.
In watchmaking, the name Constellation has been closely linked with the art of creating luxurious precision watches at the highest level. The Tahiti proves to be no different, with it being a combination of elegant design and ultra- precise movement.
