Suit up

The Star Malaysia - Star2 - - WHAT TO WATCH - – Gordon Kho

WILL President Frank underwood’s ( Kevin Spacey) House Of Cards finally collapse in the new season of the acclaimed political drama? If you remember, First Lady Claire ( robin Wright) walked out on him at the end of Season Three ... and as we have witnessed, you don’t want to get on her bad side. At the start of Season Four, underwood goes full throttle on his presidential campaign – without the first lady by his side – as he fights off his toughest opponent, heather Dunbar ( Elizabeth Marvel). As he travels on the campaign trail, underwood is attired in suits fit for a king, or in this case, the president of the most powerful nation in the world. Clothes not only make a man but also help Spacey get into character, according to House Of Cards costume designer Johanna Argan. Spacey, 56, is attired in hugo Boss suits, and the character’s initials, Fu, are stitched inside every jacket. Argan put Spacey in dark suits and bright red ties in earlier episodes but as the season progresses, underwood’s wardrobe changes to reflect the storyline. “The president at his best is fully suited. But as he starts to fall apart, we strip away jackets, we strip away ties, we get dull in colour,” Argan tells

House Of Cards Season Four airs every tuesday at 9.55pm on rtL CBS Entertainment ( HypptV Ch 616).
