JUST one year af­ter it made its way to Malaysia, Un­der Armour has taken a step fur­ther to ex­pand the busi­ness.

The pop­u­lar sports­wear la­bel has opened a new brand house in Pe­nang, its first in the north­ern re­gion of Malaysia. It pro­vides an ideal venue for ath­letes and fit­ness en­thu­si­asts in Pe­nang to grab their Un­der Armour ap­parel.

Lo­cated in Queens­bay Mall, the brand house – mea­sur­ing 149sqm – fea­tures a clean fa­cade but evokes a high en­ergy. Its in­te­rior in­clude ac­cented metal and wood fur­nish­ings and large black leather seats with the logo stitched in red, promi­nently in­stalled within the footwear zone.

Be­ing lo­cated in the high- traf­fic area of Bayan Lepas, it also pro­vides high promi­nence and vis­i­bil­ity, thus max­imis­ing ac­ces­si­bil­ity to po­ten­tial cus­tomers.

“The Malaysian mar­ket has cer­tainly been very sup­port­ive and re­spon­sive to­wards our brand since we stepped foot in Malaysia a lit­tle over a year ago. We be­lieve there is a great po­ten­tial for this mar­ket and that is why we will be ac­tively grow­ing it for the year, with the aim of mak­ing Malaysia our largest mar­ket in South- East Asia,” said Adrian Chai, chief mar­ket­ing of­fi­cer of Triple Pte. Ltd.

“There are abun­dant op­por­tu­ni­ties here and there is still a lot that we have not ex­plored. We are keen to build the health and fit­ness com­mu­nity in Malaysia and we will be kick­start­ing our north­ern re­gion prow­ess right here in Queens­bay Mall, one step at a time.”
