JUST one year after it made its way to Malaysia, Under Armour has taken a step further to expand the business.
The popular sportswear label has opened a new brand house in Penang, its first in the northern region of Malaysia. It provides an ideal venue for athletes and fitness enthusiasts in Penang to grab their Under Armour apparel.
Located in Queensbay Mall, the brand house – measuring 149sqm – features a clean facade but evokes a high energy. Its interior include accented metal and wood furnishings and large black leather seats with the logo stitched in red, prominently installed within the footwear zone.
Being located in the high- traffic area of Bayan Lepas, it also provides high prominence and visibility, thus maximising accessibility to potential customers.
“The Malaysian market has certainly been very supportive and responsive towards our brand since we stepped foot in Malaysia a little over a year ago. We believe there is a great potential for this market and that is why we will be actively growing it for the year, with the aim of making Malaysia our largest market in South- East Asia,” said Adrian Chai, chief marketing officer of Triple Pte. Ltd.
“There are abundant opportunities here and there is still a lot that we have not explored. We are keen to build the health and fitness community in Malaysia and we will be kickstarting our northern region prowess right here in Queensbay Mall, one step at a time.”
