Ber­maz funds con­test

er­maz Mo­tor Sdn Bhd will be spon­sor­ing the Asean Skills Com­pe­ti­tion ( ASC) 2016 with six Mazda3 cars.

Four Mazda3 cars will be used in ASC’s na­tion­wide aware­ness cam­paign road show and two units will be used in the com­pe­ti­tion to as­sess the skills and ap­ti­tude of the fi­nal­ists.

Ber­maz Mo­tor, a wholly- owned sub­sidiary of Ber­jaya Auto Bhd, is the ex­clu­sive dis­trib­u­tor of Mazda ve­hi­cles in Malaysia.

The ASC will be held on Sept 23 till 28, 2016 in Malaysia Agro Ex­po­si­tion Park

BSer­dang. Be­sides Malaysia, par­tic­i­pants will also come from coun­tries such as In­done­sia, the Philip­pines, Sin­ga­pore, Thai­land and Viet­nam. The com­pe­ti­tion is held ev­ery two years and mem­ber coun­tries take turns to host.

Ber­maz has al­ways been an ad­vo­cate of youth’s skills de­vel­op­ment, es­pe­cially in meet­ing the grow­ing de­mands of the mo­tor­ing in­dus­try.

The Mazda Ap­pren­tice­ship Pro­gramme ( MAP), an au­to­mo­tive skills train­ing pro- gram for school leavers with SPM/ SPV, was set up in 2010.

Grad­u­ates from the MAP are awarded with the Malaysia Skill Cer­tifi­cate ( Level 3, K- Worker from Depart­ment of Skills De­vel­op­ment), Diploma in

the In­sti­tute of Mo­tor In­dus­try Awards Lim­ited ( IMIAL- UK) and Mazda Mas­ter Level F.

Se­lected can­di­dates are en­ti­tled to full schol­ar­ships by Ber­maz Mo­tor.

Grad­u­ates are em­ployed by Ber­maz as tech­ni­cians in Mazda’s af­ter- sales ser­vice cen­tres.

The Miri 3s cen­tre can ser­vice up to 30 cars per day.
