This exhibition features over 100 artworks by local ceramicist Cheah Yeow Seng, and will be officiated by Cheah Yew Saik, renowned artist and founder of the Kuala Lumpur College of Art, on Saturday at 3pm. Admission is free. Time: 11am-5pm (closed on Mondays).
The ceramicist draws inspiration from the female figure, buildings and nature, among others. He will demonstrate the making of clay art, on June 10 and 17 (3pm-4.15pm) at Soka Exhibition Hall.

This international group exhibition featuring 24 works by Tan Suz Chiang (Malaysia), Januri (Indonesia), Zhang Chun Lei (Singapore) and JC Vargas (the Philippines) focuses on coastal living and fishing villages done in watercolour, oil and acrylic. Time: 11am- 8pm daily.

SUNDAY TILL JUNE 15:
The exhibition of coloured pencil artworks by Sharon Kow Siew Suan (Penang) and upcoming artists Faramas and Solmaz Pessian, from Iran, opens at 11am this Sunday. The Refinery hopes to promote and popularise the use of coloured pencils as a medium for artists and the public; and encourage the younger generation, especially schoolgoing children, to take up the challenge and excel in this medium of art. It also hopes that this exhibition will encourage more art collectors to view and collect coloured pencil art. Twenty-four coloured pencil artworks will be exhibited, and prints of original artworks will be on sale. Time: 11am-7pm. There will also be a free workshop with the artists on June 10 (10am-1pm). All workshop materials will be provided by Faber Castell Malaysia.

Nictar Farm is a theme park that aims to educate the public on nature, ecology and farming activities. There will be sharing sessions, workshops and Green U Market. At Green U Market (noon6pm), there will be a sale of art and craft items (made from recyclable and natural materials), cakes, ginger ale, coffee, Hakka dishes, health food and organic vegetables. At Farm to Table (noon-4pm), visitors can try Veggie Farmburger and Pineapple Chicken Curry. There will also be a pineapple paste-making session (noon-4pm). Music and dance performances are from 6pm-9pm.

The first original Asian production to appear on Broadway, Soul Of Shaolin is a martial arts show starring performers who are trained in Shaolin kung fu. This production re-enacts the story of a baby, Hui Guang, who is separated from his mother when she is pursued by bandits. The child is rescued and raised by temple monks who teach him Shaolin kung fu. Enjoy the visual displays of true physical prowess and follow one man’s journey to finding inner peace, love and family. KL SAPE’ COLLECTIVE

Formed in 2016, the KL Sape’ Collective comprises sape trainers and solo sape musicians who have played in various festivals and events around the world. The sape is a traditional lute of the Orang Ulu of Sarawak. The collective is a platform for them to bring together their individual skills and styles to present music from the Kenyah, Kelabit (Orang Ulu) and Iban tribes of Borneo.
Currently based in KL, the musicians in the group are Alena Murang, Anderson Kalang, Saufi Aiman Yahya, Rosemary Colony Joel, Munirih Jebeni and Saufi Aiman Yahya. The show will also feature Rodrigo Parejo (flute). Showtime: 10pm. Tickets: RM53.
