An extraordinary school

Established in January 2014, HIS has a population of more than 1,300 students and more than 170 experienced and passionate teachers from all over the world.

In a short time, HIS has managed to rack up an impressive list of accomplishments. Its inaugural batch of International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) students achieved amazing results last year, with 67% A*s and A's across 21 subjects. Six students were presented the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards.

The school was awarded a five-star rating by the Education Ministry under the Private Education Institution Quality Standard assessment (SKIPS).

This year, the school was recognised by Apple as a distinguished school for being a model for innovation, leadership and educational excellence.

It is also recognised as a Common Sense Certified School: Digital Citizenship for its dedication to teaching young people how to be responsible digital citizens.

It has also received approval as a provider of the much-acclaimed The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award.

The British curricula are complemented by a strong multilingual programme that includes the teaching of English with a strong emphasis on literature, Mandarin (compulsory for all students), Bahasa Malaysia, Spanish and French.

Thus, HIS students will be able to work, live and conduct business in close to 50% of countries in the world.

“We wanted to build a school that students look forward to coming to every morning because it is a place full of excitement and discovery,” says Dr Goh Chee Leong, chief executive officer of HIS.
