Have fun with Upin & Ipin
THIS year’s theme for Jaya Shopping Centre’s Hari Raya celebration is “Jom Raya Bersama Upin & Ipin”.
It focuses on the local animated characters Upin and Ipin celebrating the festive season at their grandmother’s village house – “Rumah Opah”.
A replica of the original piece from the animated series, the traditional kampung house is located at the ground floor and serves as the main attraction where various activities will be held for the children.
It includes the meet and greet sessions with Upin & Ipin, photo-taking sessions and Hari Raya dance performances.
Meanwhile, eight booths have been set up and designed to look like village huts where you will find an amazing array of Raya merchandises such as cookies, accessories, traditional clothes and festive ensembles to complete your Raya shopping experience.
The Raya bazaar is ongoing until June 17 at the ground floor.
Make sure to catch a glimpse of the stars twinkling above it as the atrium ceiling is decorated with hanging mobiles in the shape of stars to symbolise the beauty of the sky during Ramadan and Hari Raya.
There will also be a carpet fair (Astana Carpet Fair) with specially designed carpets from Persia, India and Bangladesh as well as furniture for shoppers to peruse at their leisure.
Adding to the festivities, Jaya Shopping Centre is also organising a social media contest in which shoppers will be entitled to win various vouchers from Nosh Up, The Ballroom, Good Food & Co and more.
Shoppers also redeem limited Upin & Ipin Raya packets, specially designed for this Raya, with a minimum spending of RM150 – perfect for fans or collectors.
