Built for business
LENOVO Malaysia has introduced the ThinkPad P51s workstation with the 7th generation Intel Core i7 (previously codenamed Kaby Lake) processor, keeping it on par with the latest chip technology available on the market.
Developed with engineers and architects in mind, the mobile workstation is equipped with the professional-grade Nvidia Quadro M520 2GB graphics chip, making it ideal for users who are looking for top notch performance and functionality on the go, according to the company.
It’s also the thinnest and lightest mobile workstation Lenovo has produced, weighing only 1.99kg and measuring 20mm thick.
Despite its slender build, the workstation is designed to withstand rigorous use.
According to the company, the workstation has been subjected to military-grade tests such as exposure to extreme levels of humidity, temperature, sand, vibrations, altitudes and mechanical shocks.
Other specs include 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD (solid-state drive) and a battery that lasts up to five hours on a single charge.
The standard variant comes with a 15.6in full HD display but it can be upgraded to a touchscreen or higher resolution 4K (3,840 x 2,160 pixels) panel.
The workstation has plenty of ports too with three USB 3.0, one HDMI, one USB-C with Intel Thunderbolt 3, and a 4-in-1 SD card reader.
The price of the P51s starts from RM6,999 and will be available in stores from the middle of next month.
