Busi­ness savvy with Ma­ni­pal Ni­lai

MA­NI­PAL In­ter­na­tional Uni­ver­sity (MIU)’s busi­ness pro­grammes in­tro­duce stu­dents to key ar­eas of man­age­ment con­cepts and prac­tice.

Stu­dents will gain de­tailed work­ing knowl­edge of man­age­ment op­er­a­tions, which are es­sen­tial in their man­age­ment role.

Un­der the Foun­da­tion in Busi­ness Stud­ies pro­gramme, stu­dents will be equipped with fun­da­men­tal prin­ci­ples in man­age­ment, mar­ket­ing, eco­nom­ics and ac­count­ing and other dis­ci­plines in busi­ness to give them an over­all per­spec­tive in the field.

Its Busi­ness Ad­min­is­tra­tion pro­gramme ex­poses stu­dents to is­sues and events that af­fect the re­gional and global busi­ness land­scape.

Stu­dents will be trained to have man­age­ment com­pe­ten­cies, com­mu­ni­ca­tion and an­a­lyt­i­cal skills through the ex­po­sure of its fi­nance, mar­ket­ing and in­ter­na­tional busi­ness en­vi­ron­ments mod­ules.

They will also be taught le­gal and man­age­ment prin­ci­ples, as well as cross­cul­tural com­mu­ni­ca­tion, to pre­pare them well should they wish to work for – or even set up – a multi­na­tional com­pany.

An ed­u­ca­tion in Busi­ness Stud­ies of­fers many ca­reer po­ten­tial.

Grad­u­ates have a choice of a va­ri­ety of ca­reers in­clud­ing mar­ket­ing com­mu­ni­ca­tion spe­cial­ists, busi­ness an­a­lysts, dig­i­tal mar­ket­ing, credit anal­y­sis and foren­sic ac­coun­tants.

MIU is reg­is­tered as South­East Asia’s first “green” uni­ver­sity and is reg­is­tered to com­ply with the United States LEED (Lead­er­ship in En­ergy and En­vi­ron­men­tal De­sign) Plat­inum green build­ing in­dex.

Spread over 57.5ha (142 acres) in the uni­ver­sity town of Ni­lai, MIU’s lush green cam­pus of­fers an aca­demic en­vi­ron­ment de­signed to bring out the best in ev­ery stu­dent.

MIU is proud to part­ner with CIMA (Char­tered In­sti­tute in Man­age­ment Ac­coun­tant) and IELTS (In­ter­na­tional English Lan­guage Test­ing Sys­tem).

Upon com­ple­tion of their ini­tial years, stu­dents have the flex­i­bil­ity to choose their coun­try of choice to fur­ther their stud­ies.

The twin­ning pro­gramme at MIU al­lows stu­dents to com­plete their de­gree pro­grammes over­seas.

Through the MIU in­tern­ship, each stu­dent is given the chance to use the knowl­edge gained in an ac­tual work­ing en­vi­ron­ment of the in­dus­try.

With 12 aca­demic part­ners, stu­dents can also opt for credit trans­fer pro­grammes with par­tic­i­pat­ing uni­ver­si­ties.

As part of its of­fer, MIU is pro­vid­ing up to 100% schol­ar­ship* on tu­ition fee for foun­da­tion pro­gramme stud­ies for stu­dents who ob­tain straight As in their Si­jil Pe­la­jaran Malaysia (SPM).

These stu­dents will get a se­mes­ter tu­ition fee waiver if they progress to the un­der­grad­u­ate pro­grammes at MIU, Ni­lai.

Stu­dents with three cred­its for their SPM will re­ceive 40% schol­ar­ship* for diploma pro­grammes.

Those en­rolling in the de­gree pro­grammes will re­ceive up to 50% schol­ar­ship* based on CGPA.
