ACCORDING to a recent news report, the United States (US) retained its long-standing position as the world’s top host nation for international students.

The US Ambassador to Malaysia Kamala Shirin Lakhdhir said there was an 8.3% increase in the number of Malaysians studying in the US over last year.

Lakhdhir also said international students will benefit from diverse communities across colleges and universities in the US as it provides opportunities to expand world views through interaction and engagement with students from various ethnic, religious and geographical backgrounds.

It helps to prepare students for shared, successful futures in an interconnected world, she added.

Many universities across the US also joined in the #YouAreWelcomeHere campaign to encourage international students to enrol in their tertiary institutions.

SEGi University and Colleges helps students earn an American degree from prestigious US universities.

Through SEGi’s American Degree Program (ADP), students are given several options to complete their preferred programs here.

SEGi partners with prestigious and top-notch US universities, offering a globalised learning experience to students.

This ensures its programmes are regulated by the university partners on a regular basis.

Malaysian students can expect the same quality education at SEGi that they will obtain at the US campus.

SEGi in collaboration with Troy University, voted as one of the best universities in the south-east of US by The Princeton Review, offers three flexibly designed four-year courses with a variety of majors and minors to allow students to switch their majors even after studying a number of subjects:

– Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Global Business Major)

– Bachelor of Science in Communication Arts (Promotion or Psychology Minor)

– Bachelor of Science in Psychology (Communication Studies or Global General Business Minor)

SEGi’s ADP is an affordable alternative for those who wish to earn an American degree without having to fork out excessive tuition fees by choosing the 4+0 option.

They will be able to experience block teaching by visiting lecturers from Troy University for selected subjects.

Students have new transfer options to four other prestigious US universities to earn an academic qualification.
