THE School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts (SHTCA) at KDU Penang University College was established in 1991.
It was the first to offer a Diploma in Hotel and Catering Management in northern Malaysia.
In 1997, endeavouring to be the best hospitality, tourism and culinary arts school in the region, KDU established a Swiss hotel school partnership with IMI Switzerland. It believes that to be at the top, students too have to start there.
It is now the only hospitality school in Malaysia to offer a complete international Swiss syllabus.
SHTCA’s partner school, the International Management Institute Switzerland (IMI), is a private school that offers cutting-edge hospitality education.
