The Star Malaysia - Star2 - - What To Watch Today -

Captain Fantastic PREMIERE HBO, Astro Ch 411/ HD Ch 431, 9pm This is a feel good movie that you really shouldn’t pass on. Ben Cash (Viggo Mortensen), his wife Leslie and their six children live deep in the wilderness of Washington state. Isolated from society, Ben and Leslie devote their existence to raising their kids – educating them to think critically, training them to be physically fit and athletic, guiding them in the wild without technology and demonstrating the beauty of co-existing with nature. When Leslie dies suddenly, Ben must take his sheltered offspring into the outside world for the first time. Watch it. Really. Mike And Dave Need Wedding Dates PREMIERE FOX Movies, Astro Ch 413/ HD Ch 433, 10pm Believe it or not, the whole plot of the movie is explained in its title. Mike and Dave Stangle are young, adventurous, fun-loving brothers who tend to get out of control at family gatherings. When their sister Jeanie reveals her Hawaiian wedding plans, the rest of the clan insists that they both bring respectable dates. After placing an advertisement (for a date) on Craigslist (roll eyes, now!), the siblings decide to pick Tatiana and Alice, two charming and seemingly normal women. Once they arrive on the island, however, Mike and Dave realise that their companions are ready to get wild and party hard. Tragedy? This movie is for young Zac Efron fans, clearly. Three Colour Fantasy: Vivid Romance PREMIERE Oh! K HD, Astro Ch 394, 7.50pm Vivid Romance is the second series in Three

Colours of Fantasy, a nine-episode series made up of three mini-series (the other two being Star Of The Universe and Queen Of The Ring). So In Sung (Yoo Shi Yoon) has been pursuing his dream of becoming a policeman for four years but has never seemed to be able to score at the examinations. Despite that, he still has a positive outlook on life. He later applies for a part-time job with a dubious job description: “Experiment Full of Life”. What awaits him? Yeah, I’m not a fan of Korean dramas but even I want to know.

Saturday Night Live S42 Comedy Central HD, HyppTV Ch 609, 10pm

Episode 21 –So Baywatch kinda sucked but Dwayne Johnson is a funny guy and he’s front and centre in this week’s episode so you may want to tune in. Also on is Katy Perry. Yay. Sniper: Special Ops PREMIERE FOX Action Movies HD, Astro Ch 434, 11pm When the mission to rescue a US Congressman who has been kidnapped by the Taliban goes sideways, Army sniper Jake Chandler and his partner get left behind. Now, on their own, they must survive in enemy territory and wait for their unit to come back for them. Action packed, testosterone-charged movies? Who can resist? Cast includes Steven Seagal, Rob Van Dam and Tim Abell. American Crime S3 FOX Crime HD, HyppTV Ch 610, 10pm Episode 8 – The finale of this fantastic season (and series, sob! sob!) offers some closure to the tragic lives of some of its characters. The scene in which Kimara realises that Shae was the girl who was stabbed was hard to watch. Watching her practically lose her idealism and hope for good to come out of bad things is heartbreaking. But it’s all done so well. So real, it emphasises what a solid show this is. The Perfect Storm WarnerTV HD, Astro Ch 719/HyppTV Ch 613, 9.05pm Based on a true story, the film tells of the courageous men and women who risk their lives every daily, pitting their fishing boats and rescue vessels against the stormy seas. Their worst fears are realised at sea one day when they are confronted by three raging weather fronts which unexpectedly collide to produce the greatest, fiercest storm in modern history, cruelly called “The Perfect Storm”. It’s intense and will set your heart racing. It’s a good movie that stars George Clooney, Mark Wahlberg, Diane Lane, William Fichtner, Karen Allen and Bob Gunton. Mission: Impossible TV3, Astro Ch 103/ HyppTV Ch 103, 12.30am When US government operative Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his mentor, Jim Phelps (Jon Voight) go on a covert assignment that takes a disastrous turn, Jim is killed, and Ethan becomes the prime suspect. Now a fugitive, Hunt recruits brilliant hacker Luther Stickell (Ving Rhames) and maverick pilot Franz Krieger (Jean Reno) to help him sneak into a heavily guarded CIA building to retrieve a confidential computer file that will prove his innocence. If you haven’t watched this, it’s worth staying up for.
