SIME Darby Auto Performance (SDAP) has introduced the new Panamera Turbo, which features a highly innovative new eight-cylinder engine.

Retail base price for the new Panamera Turbo starts from RM1,550,000 (excludes registration fee, road tax and insurance).

It has a four-year warranty and four-year free maintenance package which includes complimentary service, parts and labour.

The new Panamera Turbo’s lap time of 7 minutes 38 seconds makes it the fastest luxury saloon on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife by far.

It has one of the most powerful petrol engines of the model series, with the top-of-the-line Panamera Turbo variant featuring a twin-turbo V8 engine featuring twin-scroll turbochargers and VarioCam Plus.

The 3,996cc four valve per cylinder engine can rev up to 6,800rpm and has peak power of 550hp.

At just above 3,000rpm the engine already breaks through the 340hp threshold and its maximum torque of 770Nm is available between 1,960 and 4,500rpm.

The V8 engine accelerates the Panamera Turbo from standstill to 100kph in 3.8 seconds.

With the Sport Chrono Package, its sprint time is quickened to 3.6 seconds; after a breathtakingly short 13.0 seconds, the Gran Turismo is already moving at 200kph, and with the Sport Chrono Package this figure is even reduced to 12.7 seconds.

With its power-to-weight ratio of just 3.6kg/hp, the car has a top speed of 306kph.

The Panamera Turbo has the first Porsche engine to be equipped with a new adaptive cylinder control system which runs only four cylinders in part-load operations.

This results in 30% improvement in fuel economy in four-cylinder operations and a lower combined fuel consumption from 9.4 – 9.3 l/100km under New European Driving Cycle.

The Panamera Turbo can be yours from RM1.55mil
