THE School of Science and Engineering at Manipal International University (MIU) intends to be at the forefront of scientific and technical education and research in the region.
Students who have completed their Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (or equivalent) and intend to pursue a career in engineering will be given the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge they need before pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
Besides the fundamental training in science, mathematics and humanities, students will be exposed to the various development activities designed to improve their critical thinking and advance their personal development. It is imperative for future engineers to have hands-on experience for their career advancement.
Engineering programme students are exposed to the fundamentals of engineering that provides them the working knowledge equipped to work in industries like manufacturing, transportation, plant engineering, oil and gas, process engineering, telecommunications industries, systems and architecture, software, networking and security.
The curriculum ensures that the graduates are well versed in technical knowledge with necessary skill sets required by the industry. Engineering students have the advantage of becoming industrial professionals and are groomed with the necessary soft skills to be high achievers in this competitive field.
Engineering provides a large number of job opportunities and specialties. Graduates are spoilt for choice of career as Project Engineers, Instrumentation Engineers, Robotics Engineers, System Analysts and Petroleum Engineering.

As part of its exciting offer, MIU is providing 100% scholarship* on tuition fee for Foundation programme studies for students who obtain straight A’s in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM). Students with three credits in SPM will receive 40% scholarship* for diploma programmes, while 50% scholarship* is given on Degree programmes based on CGPA.
