Linkin Park One More Light ONE week after the death of Chester Bennington, Linkin Park fans are still in mourning.

While on hindsight many of the band’s older songs reflect its frontman’s inner demons, it is this mournful, heartbreaking song that has come to symbolise the sorrow surrounding Bennington’s suicide.

The band actually played this song – the title track from its final album – on TV show

Jimmy Kimmel Live! in May, just a day after the suicide of Chris Cornell, with whom Bennington was great friends with.

Towards the end of the performance, Bennington chokes up with grief and is unable to sing the final lines. It is a powerful, emotional moment that has an even greater meaning now – Bennington commited suicide on July 20, which was Cornell’s birthday.

“Who cares if one more light goes out?” Well, we do, Chester. We do. – Michael Cheang
