CR-V sets sales record

HONDA Malaysia has set an­other record as its CR-V SUV achieved a two months’ sales tar­get of 1,400 book­ings in just one week.

This came less than two weeks af­ter the CR-V was launched.

Honda Malaysia had set a monthly sales tar­get of 700 for the CR-V at the model’s launch.

Of the four vari­ants, the 1.5L Tur­bocharged Premium 2WD was the most pop­u­lar, ac­count­ing for 40% of the book­ings, fol­lowed by the 1.5L Tur­bocharged 2WD at 31%, 2.0L i-VTEC (2WD) at 20% and 1.5L Tur­bocharged 4WD at 9%.

In to­tal, the tur­bocharged vari­ants stood at 80% of the book­ings.

Honda Malaysia said the pat­tern showed that Malaysians were more re­cep­tive to­wards tur­bocharged engines, in line with the trend seen for the Civic.

Lu­nar Sil­ver Me­tal­lic was the most pop­u­lar colour, ac­count­ing for over 30% of book­ings.

The new colour of White Orchid Pearl was also in de­mand, as or­dered by 27% of cus­tomers.
