Malaysian Diana Chan Wins MasterChef Australia S9 Title
ICYMI, Sitiawan-born, Johor Baru-raised home cook Diana Chan just won the MasterChef Australia S9 title in a nail-biting finish. The 29-year-old Victoria-based accountant beat 23 contestants, including Sydney-via-Sibu rival Sarah Tiong. “Diana combines a host of winning elements – she’s versatile, composed, systematic, and consistent,” says assistant editor Suzanne Lazaroo, who interviewed Chan about her victory. “She’s also daring and inventive. It’s amazing to see how much love she has for Malaysian flavours.”
Chan draws heavily on her Malaysian heritage and food experiences in her kitchen.
