Star2.com’s biggest story of the week was on Chang Wah Tey from Segamat, Johor. The 65-year-old ex-rubber tapper quit the plantations to open his own coffeeshop almost 20 years ago – all for the love of roti canai. Chief reporter Majorie Chiew, who spoke with Chang, says she found him through a food blogger and thought the idea of “Chinese roti canai” was unusual. “He sounds like he really loves his roti,” she says.
