Directed by Prakash Jha, this socio-political drama is based on the controversial policy of caste-based reservations in Indian government jobs and educational institutions. Prabhakar Anand (Amitabh Bachchan) is the idealistic principal of a top college. When his mentee Deepak Kumar (Saif Ali Khan) gets rejected at an interview for a teacher’s post at an affluent school due to his low-caste roots, Prabhakar steps in and offers Deepak a job.
