FOR school-leavers considering their next step, the University of Reading Malaysia (UoRM) offers the opportunity to gain a UK qualification in Malaysia.

The University of Reading (UoR) is a reputable institution that has inspired and educated students for more than a century.

Ranked in the Top 200 of the QS World University Rankings 2018, UoR is home to the internationally renowned Henley Business School, which is part of an elite group of business schools to be triple-accredited (Amba, Equis and AACSB) in the UK, Europe and the United States for its quality and capability.

By completing a UoRM foundation programme, students can fast-track their way to a top-class British degree.

UoRM is located in EduCity in the heart of the fast-developing city of Iskandar Puteri, Johor. It is UoR’s first overseas campus and has state-of-the-art facilities that bring the best elements of a British university education to the heart of South-East Asia.

Courses are available at foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate levels in a range of professional subjects such as business and finance, quantity surveying, real estate, psychology, pharmacy and the prestigious Henley Master in Business Administration. There are also plans for law courses.

Uniquely, UoRM offers students the chance to study part of their course at the UK campus, which means getting a degree with a UK study experience in an affordable, flexible and accessible way.

The university’s foundation programmes in business and science are designed for those who have not completed A-Levels.

Both programmes offer a one-year intensive course that will prepare students for the academic rigours and personal challenges of an undergraduate degree.

Those considering a career in finance or business may want to consider UoRM’s Foundation in Business programme.

The course is designed to teach three business-related topics that will provide a strong underpinning for a future degree, as well as training in transferable academic skills.

Upon completing the programme, students will be able to progress to an undergraduate degree at the UK or Malaysia campus, including courses offered at Henley Business School.

With international recognition for research-led teaching, a friendly, supportive environment and an excellent employment record for graduates, UoRM is an ideal destination to undertake a science degree.

The Foundation in Science programme will prepare students academically and socially for a science degree.

Upon successful completion, they can progress to an undergraduate degree at UoR in either the UK or Malaysia, which offers expert teaching staff, opportunities for hands-on learning and high-tech facilities.

The course not only provides a solid background in science and transferable academic and life skills, but also prepares students for a rewarding university experience and lucrative career.

Apply now to enjoy the early bird discount.

UoR rewards the best students in all its campuses by offering a range of scholarships, bursaries and fee discounts.

Students who demonstrate exemplary academic results will automatically receive scholarships when they enrol in the foundation programme with their O-Levels and SPM results.

Students are also eligible for the Provost’s Award, which is the equivalent of a full scholarship towards their fees.

Students who demonstrate academic success and progress to an undergraduate degree at UoRM are also eligible for a variety of High Achiever’s Scholarships.

“With the diverse community at UoRM, the wonderful amenities, contemporary teaching approaches and foundation programmes, UoRM is a good place to gain an international learning experience,” said Eva.
