While pro­vid­ing plenty of cal­cium and pro­tein, flavoured yo­ghurt and in­stant oat­meal are sur­pris­ing cul­prits that con­tain high amounts of sugar. A serv­ing of low-fat yo­ghurt can con­tain around 17g to 33g of sugar, while in­stant oat­meal can have 10g to 15g of sugar.

Nev­er­the­less, this does not mean that you have to elim­i­nate your go-to break­fast from your life. The best op­tion is to con­sume the plain ver­sion of th­ese foods with fresh fruits, thus low­er­ing the amount of pro­cessed or added sug­ars in your diet.
