While providing plenty of calcium and protein, flavoured yoghurt and instant oatmeal are surprising culprits that contain high amounts of sugar. A serving of low-fat yoghurt can contain around 17g to 33g of sugar, while instant oatmeal can have 10g to 15g of sugar.
Nevertheless, this does not mean that you have to eliminate your go-to breakfast from your life. The best option is to consume the plain version of these foods with fresh fruits, thus lowering the amount of processed or added sugars in your diet.
