Check those who wait too long
INDISCRIMINATE waiting and parking of vehicles at airports seem to be the norm. It is easy to blame it on lack of enforcement but it is actually a “cat and mouse” situation.
Usually the enforcement personnel will ask the waiting motorists to move on. They however, cannot be around all the time.
Airport authorities should consider charging motorists a fee for entering the airport’s passenger pick up and drop off areas.
However, a reasonable period should be allowed without charge for dropping and picking up passengers. The fees should be higher than the normal parking rate to discourage motorists from staying too long in this area.
