‘Back to school’ on their big day

Cou­ple wear school uni­forms at wed­ding re­cep­tion

IN­STEAD of a fancy wed­ding dress or tra­di­tional at­tire, a cou­ple in Kulim, Kedah, broke the norm and wore their school uni­forms for their big day, Har­ian Metro re­ported.

High school sweet­hearts Siti Nor Zaimah Mat Daut and Muham­mad Hasifi Az­man, both 24, courted much at­ten­tion at their kenduri. Siti Nor Zaimah said she had al­ways wanted to get mar­ried in a school uni­form to rem­i­nisce about her days at SM Sun­gai Karangan be­tween 2006 and 2010.

“I told Muham­mad Hasifi about it and he agreed to the idea,” she said.

“It was funny when my hus­band and I walked out to greet our guests at the kenduri hosted by my hus­band’s fam­ily in Ta­man Ke­nan­gan, Sun­gai Karangan, Kulim,” Siti Nor Zaimah said.

Their wed­ding pho­tographs went vi­ral on Face­book.

Habibah Oth­man, 60, lost her mo­bil­ity about a year ago. Her daugh­ter could not care for her as she her­self was fac­ing health is­sues, Si­nar Har­ian re­ported.

On Satur­day, vol­un­teers from the Hulu Lan­gat Wel­fare De­part­ment found Habibah in a weak con­di­tion at her home in Se­lan­gor. Her back was cov­ered in sores and wounds.

“I want to stay in an old folks’ home be­cause I am suf­fer­ing here. I can’t de­pend on my daugh­ter be­cause she is also un­well,” said Habibah, who used to work as a su­per­vi­sor at a hos­tel.

Her daugh­ter Mas Anum Nazhir Ah­mad, 33, said she suf­fered from bone and heart ill­ness and could not take care of her mother. Habibah was sent to Ka­jang Hos­pi­tal.

“The act­ing of­fers are in­creas­ing. In fact, there are many of­fers for us to ap­pear to­gether in dra­mas or TV shows,” said Amar, 31.

He also con­firmed that Amyra, 25, was now seven weeks’ preg­nant.

Soon to be three: Amar has con­firmed that Amyra is preg­nant.
