Fishmonger elated son a top scorer in SPM
A 45-YEAR-OLD fishmonger in Alor Setar, Kedah, is elated that his son scored 10As in the SPM last year, reported China Press.
Zhang Zhen Cheng said his son Chun Seang, 17, would study accountancy at an institution of higher learning in Kuala Lumpur.
“I have always told him not to follow in my footsteps as a fishmonger,” he was quoted by the daily.
For the past 20 years, Zhang’s day has started at 2am at the wholesale market in Alor Setar.
“My children know that I only have five hours of sleep. Chun Seang is very disciplined. He doesn’t need supervision.
“During examinations, he wakes up early to spend extra hours on revision,” Zhang said.

A picture showing the family out in the open went viral on social media prompting netizens to lash out at their actions, saying they were oblivious to the danger as had occurred in two incidents where tourists were mauled to death by tigers.
The family only returned to the car after being told twice by the park’s employees.

The daily said Chen still looked slim despite being eight months pregnant.
Chen, a member of the girl group S.H.E, married Lai in Malacca in 2012.
