Property expo a huge draw for prospective buyers
GEORGE TOWN: The StarProperty.my Fair 2018 continues to draw visitors from all over.
Property hunters checked out various projects at different booths at Queensbay Mall here yesterday.
Engineer Phillip Wen, 37, said he was looking for a high-rise residential property in the Bayan Lepas area.
“My budget is around RM550,000. My family and I are now living in an apartment in Sungai Dua and we’re hoping to move to a bigger house as my two young children are growing up,” he said at the Pearl Ocean booth.
Retiree Teh Chooi Imm, 66, said convenience and affordability were her priorities when it comes to buying a property.
“We prefer to stay on the island. It’s very convenient for us here,” she said.
Earlier, Teh and her husband Goh Guan Aik, 68, were spotted enquiring about a project exhibited by BTK Land Sdn Bhd.
“We’re currently staying in a landed property in Bayan Lepas. We’re just looking around as part of our retirement plan as well as an investment for the future,” she said.
The fair, which is the northern region’s most comprehensive property expo, will end today.
Also returning to the fair, which features 21 exhibitors, is the eagerly anticipated Spin & Win Contest which offers prizes worth over RM50,000.
