Contrasting fates for McPhee and Khairul

PETALING JAYA: It was a day of contrasting fortunes for Petronas Sprint Racing team in Moto3 at the Aragon Grand Prix.

John McPhee stayed solid to finish 10th with a time of 1:58.550 in the qualifying session at the Gran Premio de Aragon but it was a different story for his teammate Khairul Idham Pawi.

Khairul finished 28th with a time of 2:00.135.

Spaniard Raul Fernandez from Red Bull KTM Ajo will start from the pole position after he topped the qualifying sheet with 1:57.681.

He will be strongly challenged today by Italian Celestino Vietti of Sky Racing Team VR46, who finished second with 1:57.740 thirdplaced qualifier Albert Arenas of Solunion Aspar Team. Arenas posted 1:58.191.
