Perdana YIEA 2016
THE Malaysian Indian Entrepreneur Cooperative (MIEC) collaborated with The Social Entrepreneurs Network (SeNet) to launch the Perdana Young Indian Entrepreneurs Award 2016 (Perdana YIEA). The launch was held at The Armada Hotel in Petaling Jaya.
The ceremony was officiated by Minister of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin, and witnessed by over 150 Indian entrepreneurs.
Initially known as the Young Indian Entrepreneur Award (YIEA), it seeks to give recognition to young and successful Indian entrepreneurs for their industry achievements. Candidates must be between the ages of 25 and 40 and primarily responsible or have implemented creative measures and/or methods to influence positive outcome in business operations.
The Perdana YIEA 2016 provides many opportunities for the young Indian entrepreneur, as it allows candidates to interact and explore business possibilities whilst benefiting the Indian community.
Known today as Perdana YIEA, a premier accolade to mark one’s achievement, criteria for nomination includes good financial performance, innovative business model, exemplary leadership skills, engagement in social responsibility and a success story.
A panel of judges comprising prominent businessmen, professionals and representatives from distinguished associations will review, evaluate and select an appropriate winner. This year marks the 11th Perdana YIEA Award since its inception in 2005. The award ceremony will be held later in July this year.
This year will also witness an Industry Excellence Award or Category Award to highlight distinct accomplishments of Indian entrepreneurs of all ages, specifically those who have become icons in their areas of expertise. Over 25 Indian entrepreneurs were awarded last year under the Industry Excellence Award or Category Award. Visit www.kuimb.com for more details on this year’s Perdana YIEA 2016 Award.
