CAB­BIES WANT BAN ON RIDE-HAIL­ING FIRMS

KUALA LUMPUR: More than 100 cab­bies gath­ered at the Kuala Lumpur Court Com­plex yes­ter­day over a case in­volv­ing the Land Pub­lic Trans­port Com­mis­sion (SPAD) and ride­hail­ing ser­vices. The taxi driv­ers want Prime Min­is­ter Datuk Seri Na­jib Ab­dul Razak to stop Uber and Grab from op­er­at­ing in the coun­try. Ear­lier, the High Court dis­missed a suit by 102 taxi driv­ers against SPAD.
