PETALING JAYA: RHB Bank Bhd has completed its second issuance of US$500 million (RM2.1 billion) senior unsecured notes in nominal value of its US$5 billion Euro Medium Term Note (EMTN) Programme. In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, the bank said that the issuance represents the lowestever coupon for a US dollar five-year bond achieved by RHB Bank and lowest coupon rate for a public US dollar fiveyear bond by any Malaysian issuer since January 2013. “The senior notes are expected to be listed on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited and Labuan International Financial Exchange Inc,” it said. The transaction was 3.8 times oversubscribed with interest from a diverse investor base across Asia and Europe. The net proceeds from the issuance of the senior notes will be utilised by RHB Bank for general working capital purposes.
