FUJITSU MULLS SELL­ING PC BIZ TO CHINA’S LEN­OVO

TOKYO: Ja­panese elec­tron­ics man­u­fac­turer Fujitsu is con­sid­er­ing sell­ing its per­sonal com­puter busi­ness to the world’s big­gest PC maker, China’s Len­ovo Group, news re­ports said yes­ter­day. The two com­pa­nies aim to reach a deal later this month, with 2,000 Fujitsu em­ploy­ees likely to move to Len­ovo, the Nikkei busi­ness daily re­ported with­out cit­ing any sources. Fujitsu might trans­fer its com­puter de­sign, devel­op­ment and man­u­fac­tur­ing op­er­a­tions to a Len­ovo-led joint ven­ture, the Nikkei said. – dpa
