STORM WRECKS 37 HOMES

TEMERLOH: Thirty-seven houses in 17 villages were devastated by a storm on Monday. District fire and rescue chief Hasanuddin Husein said the incident, which occurred around 6pm, lasted about half an hour. “The winds blew off the roofs and falling trees brought down some walls. Power supply was also disrupted in some of the villages. No injuries or casualties have been reported,” he told Bernama yesterday. The affected villages included Kampung Batu Kapur, Sungai Buluh, Semantan and Taman Seri Semantan.– Bernama
