PETALING JAYA: Systech Bhd’s 51%owned sub­sidiary SysArmy Sdn Bhd has been granted MSC sta­tus by the Malaysian gov­ern­ment. In a fil­ing with the stock ex­change, the com­pany said its unit will en­joy the pi­o­neer sta­tus in­cen­tive un­der the Pro­mo­tion of In­vest­ments Act, 1986 for 100% in­come tax ex­emp­tion on statu­tory in­come de­rived from the MSC Malaysia qual­i­fy­ing ac­tiv­i­ties for a pe­riod of 10 years. The MSC Malaysia qual­i­fy­ing ac­tiv­i­ties in­cludes the es­tab­lish­ment and op­er­a­tion of a global busi­ness ser­vices cen­tre ren­der­ing in­for­ma­tion tech­nol­ogy out­sourc­ing, busi­ness process out­sourc­ing and knowl­edge process out­sourc­ing ser­vices in IT helpdesk and tech­ni­cal sup­port as well as busi­ness pro­cesses and con­sul­tancy-se­cu­rity ad­vi­sory ser­vices.
