> Reg­is­tra­tion opens for He­riot-Watt part-time MBA pro­gramme

REG­IS­TRA­TION is now open for stu­dents in­ter­ested in attaining their Mas­ter of Busi­ness Ad­min­is­tra­tion (MBA) via the Ed­in­burgh Busi­ness School MBA (EBS MBA) pro­gramme, which starts in Jan­uary 2017 at He­riot-Watt Univer­sity’s Putrajaya cam­pus. The Ed­in­burgh Busi­ness School MBA course in Malaysia is a part-time pro­gramme that is car­ried out via week­end lec­tures, which works out to be ideal for work­ing stu­dents. To date, 34 stu­dents have com­pleted the pro­gramme with a fur­ther 93 in the process, par­tak­ing in a global learn­ing net­work of more than 11,400 ac­tive stu­dents and 19,800 world­wide grad­u­ates.

NOTE­WOR­THY ACHIEVE­MENT Among the EBS MBA grad­u­ates in Malaysia, seven at­tended the pres­ti­gious cer­e­mony held in June 2016 at the He­riot-Watt Univer­sity cam­pus in Ed­in­burgh, Scot­land. One of the seven, Jane Lai Choy Chan, vice-pres­i­dent of group com­pli­ance at a lead­ing life in­sur­ance com­pany in Sin­ga­pore, said of the pro­gramme: “It has greatly en­hanced my busi­ness skills and broad­ened my net­work with pro­fes­sion­als from di­verse fields. I truly be­lieve that as we get ready to move on to the next phase in life, we are well equipped and pre­pared to take on any lead­er­ship role us­ing the knowl­edge and ex­pe­ri­ence that we have gained from this rep­utable EBS MBA course.”

Prince Court Med­i­cal Cen­tre se­nior man­ager in charge of med­i­cal ser­vices Dr Shya­mala Lak­shmi Rao also com­mented. She said she wanted to grad­u­ate in Ed­in­burgh “to see the ‘mother ship’. The cer­e­mony was very spe­cial to me as it was the cul­mi­na­tion of so much hard work and sac­ri­fices made. To share it with oth­ers who went through the same was awe­some.”

MBA pro­gramme di­rec­tor for the Malaysia cam­pus, An­ge­line Chiva­p­a­thy was im­mensely proud of her stu­dents. “It was ex­hil­a­rat­ing to watch the grad­uands re­ceive their scrolls at the Ed­in­burgh cam­pus. Their sheer hard work and in­di­vid­ual sac­ri­fices over the last two years came to fruition in this pres­ti­gious MBA de­gree.”

RECOG­NISED QUAL­I­FI­CA­TION Reg­is­tra­tion is now open for the Jan­uary 2017 in­take. Three MBA preview ses­sions have also been or­gan­ised, giv­ing prospec­tive stu­dents more in­for­ma­tion and in­sights into the course. The first kicks off on Oct 19 at 6.30pm at Le Meri­dien Ho­tel in Kuala Lumpur.

The EBS MBA pro­gramme is ap­proved by the Higher Ed­u­ca­tion Min­istry and is fully ac­cred­ited by the Malaysian Qual­i­fi­ca­tions Agency (MQA).
