SEOUL: North Korea has purged its vice­for­eign min­is­ter as pun­ish­ment for the re­cent de­fec­tion of its en­voy to Bri­tain, South Korean me­dia said yes­ter­day. JoongAng Ilbo, quot­ing an anony­mous source fa­mil­iar with North Korean af­fairs, said Kung Sok-Ung had been fired from his post and ex­pelled to a ru­ral farm­ing area with his fam­ily. – AFP
