The suc­cess of PMC’s 20-year his­tory is poised to grow. Ir­ish Am­bas­sador to Malaysia, His Ex­cel­lence Ea­mon Hickey was re­ported to have vis­ited PMC re­cently, to plant a Wil­low tree on cam­pus, sig­ni­fy­ing the her­itage and vi­sion of the next phase of growth in PMC’s devel­op­ment, plus its con­tin­u­ing com­mit­ment to med­i­cal ed­u­ca­tion in Malaysia and the re­gion.

The col­lege also hon­oured and recog­nised the long ser­vice of 11 mem­bers of its staff who have been with PMC since be­fore its 10th an­niver­sary in 1996, five of whom, for more than 15 years.

Many PMC grad­u­ate doc­tors have taken up se­nior po­si­tions in Malaysia and in coun­tries as di­verse as Ire­land, the UK, Aus­tralia, the United States, Brunei and New Zealand. Their out­stand­ing ef­forts in health­care and be­yond have seen them win awards and trans­form com­mu­ni­ties around the world.
