NEW APPROACHES TO IMPROVE PUBLIC TRANSPORT
ISKANDAR PUTERI: The Johor state government is considering several new approaches in improving the public transport system in the state. Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin said this included restricting heavy vehicles from entering certain areas in the city. “The government will also introduce other modes of transport for delivery of goods, like trains, which have been found to be cheaper and more environmental-friendly than lorries,” he said after officiating at the launch of the Gelang Patah Bus and Taxi Terminal and Johor Public Transport Masterplan, here, yesterday. – Bernama
