The Sun (Malaysia) - - NEWS WITHOUT BORDERS -

WASHINGTON: UN monitors have concluded that the Syrian government used chlorine gas in a third chemical weapons attack last year, drawing international condemnation on Saturday. A leaked report by the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons said Syrian government helicopters had dropped barrel bombs with chlorine gas on the northwest province of Idlib in March last year. “We condemn in the strongest possible terms (the Bashar alAssad) regime’s defiance of the longstanding global norm against chemical weapons use,” White House spokesman Ned Price said. – AFP
