WORLD’S TALLEST SAND­WICH BUILT IN NEW YORK

NEW YORK: The world’s tallest sand­wich was built in New York City yes­ter­day, a mus­tard and salami con­struc­tion in­volv­ing 60 pieces of bread. Ir­win Adam, who hails orig­i­nally from Texas, orig­i­nally built his sand­wich out of 44 pieces of toasted white bread. The sand­wich needed to stand for one minute with­out top­pling in or­der to break the record. Adam then also man­aged to reach the mark of 60 slices, be­fore miss­ing out on his goal of an 80slice sand­wich. The food used in the record-mak­ing at­tempt was given to peo­ple in need in the US city. – dpa
